Privacy Policy

QuickSnap provides photo-booth hardware, the QuickSnap mobile app, and the customer photo-collection website. This policy explains what personal data is collected, why, how long it is kept, and your rights under UK GDPR.

1. Who we are

QuickSnap is operated as a sole trader, based in the United Kingdom. QuickSnap is the data controller for personal data processed through our booths, app, and website. You can reach us at info@quicksnap.uk or +44 7470 110822.

2. What we collect

When you use a booth at a venue

• Photos and short videos you choose to capture.
• Your phone number (so we can text you the photos).
• Optional consent flags if the venue runs SMS marketing.
• Date and venue of the session, for delivery and analytics.

When you create a QuickSnap app account

• Phone number, and optionally first name, email address, and date of birth.
• The photos and videos linked to that phone number from any QuickSnap booth.
• Basic device and app information (OS version, app version, push token if you opt in to notifications).

When you contact us via the website

• The name, email, phone, venue, and message you submit on the contact form.

We do not use facial recognition. We do not sell personal data.

3. How we use your data

• To deliver your photos by SMS link and inside the QuickSnap app, performance of contract.
• To verify your phone number via one-time SMS codes, performance of contract.
• To improve our products, aggregated, non-identifying booth analytics, on the basis of legitimate interest.
• To send you marketing messages from the venue you visited, only where you ticked the consent box at the booth.
• To respond to enquiries you send via the contact form, legitimate interest.

4. Who we share data with

We use a small set of trusted processors who are bound by data processing agreements:

• Twilio: SMS delivery (your phone number and message body).
• Railway: application and database hosting.
• Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging: push notifications, if you opt in.
• The venue you visited: receives aggregate stats and (only with your explicit consent) your phone number for marketing messages.

Some of these providers are based in the United States or other countries outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent safeguards approved under UK GDPR.

5. How long we keep it

• Photos and videos: retained for as long as your account exists, or for 24 months after the booth session if you never created an account. You can delete individual photos any time inside the app.
• Account profile data: retained while your account is active. We delete it within 30 days of account closure.
• Contact form submissions: retained for 24 months for follow-up and quality review, then deleted.
• Server logs: retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Have your data deleted ("right to erasure").
• Object to processing or restrict it.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise any of these, email info@quicksnap.uk. You can also delete your account directly inside the app, which removes your profile and photos.

You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

7. Security

We use TLS for all traffic, hashed and salted credentials, scoped database access, and short-lived signed tokens for media downloads. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply industry-standard controls and review them regularly.

8. Children

The QuickSnap app is intended for users aged 13 and over. Booth photos may be taken by attendees of any age at the venue's discretion; phone-number entry and account creation are for adults or supervised minors.

9. Cookies

The QuickSnap website uses only essential cookies needed for the contact form to function. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on quicksnap.uk.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post any material changes on this page and update the "effective" date above. For significant changes we will also notify active app users in-app.
